You may think that the Energy Monitor will draw on your electricity, but don’t worry, it only equates to 2.5p per week, which is such a small amount for such a positive change in behaviour.
Pease note, you will need access to your electricity meter for the Energy Monitor to work. Energy Monitors are not compatible with pre-paid meters. Setting Up.... 1. Firstly, check all the equipment to your left is all in the box: The display unit (1) The display unit plug (2) The sensor jaw and transmitter (3) |

2. Connect display unit plug (2) in to the bottom of the display unit (1) and then put the plug in a socket that is visible. The ‘Energy Now’ value on the screen will now show dashes. 3. Remove battery tab from the back of the black sensor unit (3). Next step is to tune the sensor unit and the display screen to the same channel. During tuning, make sure sensor unit is in the same room as the display unit to ensure a clear signal. The display will now show ‘0 Watts’. If not, use a cocktail stick or equivalent to press the small red reset button on the top of the black transmitter (3) and tune again. |

| 4.Take the black transmitter and sensor jaw (3) to your electricity meter. Your meter could be located on an outside wall or in your garage or porch. If you have two electricity meters, choose the one that supplies your household electricity, not the one which supplies your night storage heaters.
Connect the jaw around one of the thick cables, see to your right. Place the transmitter where it will not fall, within the length of its curly cable. As soon as this is done the display will be working. Important - all cables leaving your meter should be fully insulated and you should not be able to see any of the cable conductor or core. If you can see this do not touch the cable and consult a qualified electrical installer for advice. 5. The only thing left to do it set the clock - you do this by holding the square button down for 3 seconds, then adjust the time with the arrow buttons. Finally test your new monitor by switching off/on a light and see the reading change! |
