Nottingham Energy Partnership (NEP) is an independent charity, driving forward the climate change agenda for the Greater Nottingham. NEP hosts the Nottingham Warm Zone(NottWZ).

Scottish and Southern Energy is the major partner in Nottingham Warm Zone providing the scheme's funding for insulation measures through the Government's Carbon Emissions Reduction Target initiative. The utility also provides the warm zone’s free low energy light bulbs and current cost monitors.

Nottingham City Council’s Executive Committee approved the establishment of NottWZ in October 2009. Nottingham City Council provides a wide range of support, including part-funding for insulation measures in the private sector and contributions (both direct and in-kind) to support the operation of the NottWZ team.

NHS Nottingham City Primary Care Trust funding has enabled NottWZ to introduce a new scheme that offers free insulation measures to all City residents aged over 65.

Warm Zone Community Interest Company the parent company of NottWZ is a not-for-profit company wholly owned by the charity National Energy Action which aims to eradicate fuel poverty and campaigns for greater investment in energy efficiency to help those who are fuel poor or vulnerable.
